After logging into our online platform, select any course from your dashboard. You’ll be directed to your system homepage. To access your course(s), click on ‘Active Courses’ from the top navigation bar. Login here.

For GTC, EIC, EMA, NBL programmes, and the CTFP course ‘Managing Trade Products’, you must score 80% or higher on quizzes to achieve 100% completion. Track your progress in the Quiz Review Section. Ensure that your browser doesn’t automatically clear its cache, as progress updates may take up to an hour to show. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of your browser and that pop-ups are enabled – this is crucial. We highly recommend using Chrome for the best experience.

You have 12 months to complete the e-learning courses, including the final examination for certificate bundles such as the Global Trade Certificate (GTC), Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP), Export & Import Certificate (EIC), and Ethical Marketing & Advertising (EMA). Individual courses do not include a final exam.

All ICC Academy course materials are provided online through our Learning Management System (LMS); no textbooks are included. However, within the LMS, you’ll find plenty of supporting materials like course glossaries and study guides for the EIC, CTFP, GTC, and Incoterms® 2020 Certificate, which you can print and use offline.

Additionally, we offer a selection of supporting eBooks available for separate purchase to complement your certificate or course. This blend of online interactive courses and downloadable eBooks ensures a comprehensive learning experience.

Upon registering for the Global Trade Certificate (GTC) or Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) programmes and logging into your account, you can select your elective courses. Please note that once chosen, including completed ones, will remain accessible until the end of your 12-month access period, even after the final exam.

The individual courses do not include a final exam and therefore cannot earn you an ICC Academy Certificate of Achievement. However, you will still get a certificate of completion.

Yes, upon successful completion of an individual course, you will be issued a certificate of completion. This will not be available for our video series bundles.

Each ICC Academy certification or course programme offers 12 months of access and includes core courses, electives (for select programmes) and one attempt at the final examination.

• Global Trade Certificate (GTC): 6 core courses, 3 electives from 8 options.
• Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP): 5 core courses, 4 electives from 7 options.
• Certified Documentary Credits Expert (CDCE): 4 online lessons with 4 live, online workshops.
• Certificate in Digital Trade Strategy (CDTS): 5 core courses.
• Export & Import Certificate (EIC): 5 core courses.
• Incoterms® 2020 Certificate (INCO): 1 core course with 7 lessons.
• Free Trade Agreement Certificate (FTAC): 1 core course with 5 lessons.
• E-Invoicing Solutions Certificate (ESC): 1 core course with 5 lessons.
• Microfinance Associate Certificate: 5 core courses.
• IMB NVOCC Bill of Lading Certificate (NBL): 1 core course with 4 lessons.

• Certificate in Responsible Green Marketing Communications (RGMC): 1 core course with 5 lessons

The time required to complete individual courses varies based on your prior knowledge and learning pace. Here’s an average estimate:

• Global Trade Certificate (GTC): 3-4 hours per course (9 courses total)
• Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP): 5-6 hours per course (9 courses total)
• Certified Documentary Credits Expert (CDCE): 60+ hours of learning for 4 lessons and 4 live, online workshops
• Certificate in Digital Trade Strategy (CDTS): 7 hours for 5 modules
• Export & Import Certificate (EIC): 3 hours per course (5 courses total)
• Incoterms® 2020 Certificate: 4 hours for the interactive course
• Free Trade Agreement Certificate (FTAC): 3 hours for the interactive course
• E-Invoicing Solutions Certificate (ESC): 3 hours for the interactive course
• Microfinance Associate Certificate (MAC): 3 hours per course (5 courses total)
• IMB NVOCC Bill of Lading Certificate (NBL): 2 hours for the interactive course

Completion times vary, so plan accordingly based on your learning pace.

You will have 12 months of access to the courses or certifications you purchase. To extend your access for an additional 12 months, you will need to purchase an extension. Full details on this process can be found in the ‘Extension’ section of this FAQ.

ICC Academy does not currently offer any courses on Arbitration.

If you haven’t received an email within 3 hours of registering for free access to the Ethical Marketing & Advertising (EMA) course, please check your spam folder. If the email isn’t there, email our helpdesk for assistance.

We recommend having at least 5+ years of trade finance experience or a certification such as the ICC Academy’s Global Trade Certificate (GTC) or The London Institute of Banking and Finance’s (LIBF) CDCS, CSDG, or CITF programmes before enrolling in the CTFP.

You will need 20 credits* for the GTC and 24 credits* for the CTFP.

For all other certificates, there is no expiry date.

*The required credits must be earned before the end of the 3-year period, following the completion of the GTC or CTFP programme.

You can earn the required recertification credits through two methods:

1. Academy training: This includes courses from both ICC Academy and third-party providers.
2. Events, workshops, and seminars: Participation in these, including those hosted by third parties, also counts towards recertification.

Yes, you can still enrol, but only if your LIBF certificate expired within 6 months of your Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) registration.

Not exactly. All candidates, regardless of existing certificates, must complete our structured programme and pass the final exam to earn the related certificates. However, there are special exemptions for existing LIBF and ICC Academy certificate holders.

Upon completing an ICC Academy professional certification programme, you can showcase your credentials in the following ways:

• Share on LinkedIn: Post your ‘Certificate of Completion’ or ‘Certificate of Achievement’ on LinkedIn to inform your network that you have earned an industry-validated certification from the International Chamber of Commerce. Tag ICC Academy in it. ·
• Join our alumni community: Register to be listed as a confirmed ICC graduate. This makes it easy to share your accomplishments with clients, colleagues, and potential employers. Our alumni page is also visited by HR and recruiting managers searching for qualified candidates.
• Update your email signature: Update your email signature with a certified ICC Academy badge. We provide specific badges for each certificate, along with instructions for adding them to your email signature in Outlook and Gmail.

These steps will help you effectively highlight your new credentials and connect with industry professionals.

You can take the final exams at any time after completing the necessary prerequisites, but remember, exams must be taken within the 12-month validity of your ICC Academy account. Here are the prerequisites for each programme:

• Global Trade Certificate (GTC): Complete 6 core courses and 3 electives.
• Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP): Complete 5 core courses and 4 electives.
• Export/Import Certificate (EIC): Complete 5 core courses.
• Microfinance Associate Certificate (MAC): Complete 5 core courses.
• Other certifications: Complete the single core course to be eligible for the exam.

Make sure to complete these prerequisites within your account’s validity period to ensure you’re able to take the final exams.

Once you’ve met the minimum prerequisites for your programme, you can schedule your exam. If you need to schedule the exam within the next 3 days, a US$5 express fee will apply.

To guide you through the process, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to book your exam.

Ensure that your correct time zone is set in your account. Online exams are available 24/7 but must be completed within your account’s validity period (6-12 months, depending on the programme).

Each certificate purchase includes one attempt at the final exam. If you fail, you’ll need to purchase a retake while your account is still active. The costs are:

• USD $100 for GTC and CTFP exam retakes (each subsequent attempt – up to 2 times)
• USD $60 for exam retakes for all other certificates (each subsequent attempt – up to 2 times)

Full Certification Programs (GTC, CTFP, EIC, NBL, EMA): After passing your final exam, you can download your ICC Academy Certificate from the Learning Management System dashboard, under the “Learning Paths” section.

Individual E-Courses: Once you’ve completed all lessons, you can download a Certificate of Completion from your dashboard, under the “Completed Courses” section. Note that individual e-courses do not have a final exam.

All of our exams are live-proctored via the internet, and you will need the Google Chrome browser to take them. For complete details on how our exams work, please visit this page.

Here are the options available for extending your ICC Academy account, depending on your situation:

Active account extension

If you have passed the exam and simply want to extend access to the learning materials for another 12 months, the costs are:

• USD $200 for GTC and CTFP (12 months access to course materials)
• USD $120 for all other certificates (12 months access to course materials)

Expired account extension

If your account has expired, you have several options:

1. If you have NOT attempted the exam:
   • USD $200 for GTC and CTFP (12 months access to course materials and one exam attempt)
   • USD $120 for all other certificates (12 months access to course materials and one exam attempt)
2. If you have failed the exam previously:
   • USD $200 + USD $100 (Exam Retake fee) for GTC and CTFP (12 months access to course materials and one exam attempt)
   • USD $120 + USD $60 (Exam Retake fee) for all other certificates (12 months access to course materials and one exam attempt)
3. For stand-alone courses without an exam:
   • USD $50 (12 months access to course materials)

Important notes

• Extensions on expired accounts must be purchased within 6 months of account expiration. After 6 months, the full program must be repurchased.
• Extensions on active accounts are valid for 12 months from the end of the original enrollment period. For example, if you enrolled on January 1, 2020, and purchase an extension while your account is active, the 12-month extension will begin on December 31, 2020, regardless of when you purchase it.
• Extensions on inactive accounts are valid for 12 months from the new onboarding date.
