CURRICULUM

The MAC is made up of 5 courses and a final exam. Each course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and the final exam lasts for 60 minutes.

Course 1: Introduction to Microfinance

This course is designed to provide an understanding of the role that microfinance plays in properly assisting people from less developed sectors who are unable to access financial services from the mainstream banking sector.

Course 2: Microfinance Ecosystem and Application
  • Get a practical overview of the global ecosystem involved in financial inclusion.
  • The course also covers the risks involved in microfinancing activities, as well as the trends and current practices in various international markets
Course 3: Microfinance Technology and Analytics

This course is designed to  provide a practical overview of the role of technology and innovation as well as the role of business analytics and predictive modelling in the microfinance industry

Course 4: Microfinance Risk and Mitigation

Learn the role of preventive audit and risk-management practices in mitigating overall risks involved at various processes in the microfinance industry

Course 5: Microfinance Indicators and Impact
  • Understand the key indicators involved in measuring the expanded global index of the microfinance industry.
  • Identify geographical patterns and statistics on topics such as health and climate change to help gauge demand for microfinance

In order to receive the official ICC Academy certificate for this programme you will need to sit and pass our final exam.

What happens if I fail the exam?

Your purchase of the MAC allows one attempt at the exam. If required, a retake can be purchased for USD $60 if you are still within your 12-month access period by contacting our Help Desk.

Are there any prerequisites for taking the MAC?

All candidates need to be able to read and write in English.

How long do I have access to the courses for?

Your purchase includes 12 months to access all 5 courses and the final exam. You can access the lessons within the courses as many times as you like within the 12-month access period. Once you have completed all 5 courses, you will get access to the final exam.

Can I request a refund for my purchase?

Due to the immediate availability of our course content upon registration, ICC Academy has a strict no-refund policy for our courses and certifications. For more details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

How long will it take to complete the MAC?

It will take approximately 15 hours to complete the five courses depending on your level of experience. The final exam is 60 minutes long.

Candidates will have 12 months to complete the 5 courses and take the final exam from date of purchase.
