ICC National Committees

ICC Academy has partnered with The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of the largest chambers in Australia, to expand its training offerings, particularly in international trade and business. This collaboration aligns with the Chamber’s role as the host of the upcoming 2025 World Chambers Congress, where sustainability will be a key focus.

ICC Academy courses are now available through the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s training directory, offering members exclusive access to our international trade and sustainability programs. For more details, please visit the Victorian Chamber’s website.

In 2017, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a partnership agreement with ICC Academy to offer online training courses and accreditation programs on global trade and trade finance to staff at ADB’s partner banks. The courses were offered as part of ADB’s Capacity Development for Supply Chain Finance programme

The initial phase offered two online Certification Programs — the Global Trade Certificate (GTC) and the Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) – but the agreement has since expanded to seven certifications that help ADB’s partner banks provide better financial support to local export and import companies. Since 2017, more than 700 staff from partner banks have been trained using ICC certifications.

ICCA collaborates with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) by providing specialised competency training on their INT223 Trade Operations course through our Export/Import Certificate (EIC) programme. This programme offers comprehensive and practical knowledge on conducting export/import transactions and managing international business and provides SUSS students with a professional qualification. Since 2020, approximately 250 SUSS students have completed the EIC programme and earned an ICC professional qualification to help their transition to employment.

ICC Academy and ICC France signed a partnership agreement in 2024 to help support and complement the work of ICC France’s own training centre with our online, self-paced certifications, which are available at preferential rates to ICC France members.

ICC France was also instrumental in the translation of ICC Academy’s Incoterms® 2020 Certification into French and we hope to work together to expand the range and quality of ICC Academy’s French-language certifications.

ICC Academy and ICC Mexico signed a partnership agreement in 2024 to help complement ICC Mexico’s existing training offerings with online components where needed. For example, students attending ICC Mexico’s Incoterms® 2020 training programmes can opt to take the ICC Academy’s online exam in order to gain a digital ICC Incoterms credential.

ICC Mexico also assist ICC Academy with translations of our Spanish language certifications:

ICC Academy and ICC Germany signed a partnership agreement in 2024 to expand the range of learning opportunities available to ICC Germany members as well as expanding the reach of the national committee’s own expertise outside of Germany. Currently, ICC Germany members can benefit from preferential pricing for ICC Academy’s Certificate in Digital Trade Strategy (CDTS), Certified Trade Finance Professional programme and the recently released Certification in Responsible Green Marketing Communications (RGMC).

ICC Academy also endorses ICC Germany’s digital Incoterms® 2020 guide which will help you decide which of the 11 Incoterms® 2020 rules is most appropriate to include in your B2B sales contract, ICC Germany have developed this free interactive guide in partnership with law firm, Luther.

ICC Academy and ICC United Kingdom signed a partnership agreement in 2024 to expand the range of educational and training resources available to ICC United Kingdom members, particularly around the topic of digital trade. ICC United Kingdom has been at the heart of driving the digitalisation of trade since 2017 and played a key role in advocating for the removal of legal barriers to digital trade in the UK, and the introduction of the Electronic Trade Documents Act 2023. ICC United Kingdom shared their experiences and lessons learned in our recently refreshed Certificate in Digital Trade Strategy (CDTS).

Currently, ICC United Kingdom members can benefit from preferential pricing for ICC Academy’s certifications, including the Incoterms® 2020 Certificate, the Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP), and of course the Certificate in Digital Trade Strategy (CDTS).

ICC Switzerland is one of our longest-serving ICC national committee partners and we first signed a partnership agreement in 2020. Since then we have enrolled hundreds of trade professionals from Switzerland on to ICC Academy online courses and certifications, helping to complement the work of ICC Switzerland’s own events and trainings.

The strategic partnership between ICC Academy and Cámara de Comercio de Guadalajara (CCG) aims to broaden o reach in Spanish-speaking regions and increase the number of learners enrolling in our Spanish-language courses. In turn CCG is able to offer an expanded range of online courses in international trade to their members. This collaboration includes:

  • Co-branded brochures and certificates for learners referred by CCG
  • Integration of our courses into CCG’s learning platform, CEFOR

The agreement is designed to expand the range of educational and training resources available to ICC Qatar members, especially online training. Singapore Management University (SMU) and ICC Academy collaborated in Nov 2016 to offer online training courses on trade finance and export/import to SMU students. The courses were offered by SMU’s International Trading Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) in Commodities and Non-Commodities curriculum using ICC Academy’s e-learning platform.

The two online certification programmes – the Global Trade Certificate (GTC) and Export/Import Certification (EIC) were integrated in the SMU International Training syllabus (Commodities and Non-Commodities programme). Candidates who completed these certifications are awarded with a Specialist Diploma in International Trading (SDIT). The programme successfully benefited 68 students.
